Why We Gather: Responding to Today's Challenges
Today, our communities face unprecedented challenges. The Trump administration's policies have disproportionately harmed communities of color, immigrants, and LGBTQ+ individuals. Actions such as the rollback of protections for transgender individuals, attacks on immigrant rights, and the undermining of democratic institutions threaten our collective well-being.

At HJC, we believe that healing is resistance, and solidarity is power. Spring Healing 2025: Rooted Solidarity is our response—a gathering to reaffirm our commitment to healing and justice. This event is not just a celebration but a stand against policies that harm our communities. By coming together, we honor our shared struggles and strengthen our resolve to create a more just and compassionate world.
